Video compression format: MPEG4 and Motion JPEG, recording resolutions up to 640 x 480 NTSC. Advanced event search feature is available, search recorded files by year, month, date, hour. Simultaneously record and monitor 16 cameras. This listing is for hardware only. Software is free. Intensive PC and CCTV technical knowledge and experience are required for installation. Installation support is not included. It works with Intel PC with Windows XP and 2000, 98. It does not work with Windows 7 and Vista 64 bit. AMD computer will not work. Words fail to describe how negative this item is. The 1st sign of trouble was when it came with a hand-burned CD-R with a 1 inch by two inch printed label. Not one SHRED of other documentation.
The installation went fine Until it got to the point of requesting a file program to FORMAT just before it could proceed. Don't forget, NO documentation is obtainable just yet. Format my C drive? I do not assume so.
Saying "NO" to that input causes a cascade of failures that cannot appear to be set proper once more.
Any attempt to address the software program causes it to set my screen resolution to one that my monitor doesn't assistance.

The sale of this product is outright theft.
If you are searching for a DVR software program to record up appear no further! Properly I am fairly impressed by this tiny card. It installed perfectly. The video image good quality is superb. I had been able to record 16ch video at the similar time, it genuinely Operates! I would give 5 stars for the card.
