I hope they continue to make these.I just really like them will continue to purchase them..in my town,only alarms with battery backup are code,consequently no a single sells these right here..I refuse to obtain points that are annoying-ALL the battery powered tricky wired battery backup alarms GO OFF when the battery voltage is low,often in the middle of the night, you do not know which one requirements a battery-THEY ALL SOUND OFF...this Kidde i2020 alarm is hardwired into your technique(I have them everywhere) they only go off when they sense smoke-they have NO BATTERY BACKUP=NO FALSE ALARMS,OR LOST SLEEP. even so:they will not perform in a power outage.that hardly ever takes place,absolutely not as sometimes as batteries go poor.I will never be awakened by undesirable batteries again-I'll gladly take my probabilities with these tiny jewels.they are also fairly affordable.
