I would like to let you know that the major programmer/ auto dialer is the exact same on all their units from AAS100 to AAS600 systems. The only distinction is the quantity of door sensors, motion detectors, sirens etc and so on. They have so countless further add on's for their security method it is extraordinary, such as remote wireless sirens, smoke detectors, gas detectors, water detectors and way more and even more. So I ordered a custom unit from them: 1 primary programmer/dialer, 1 remote siren and 3 motion detectors and two remote key pods. I setup the program on my kitchen table in about 1/two an hour. The siren is loud, considering the fact that I purchased the separate wireless siren unit it can be placed anyplace you have an AC outlet. The motion detectors work lovely. Not also sensitive but function at long distances. The method is amazing. No issues. I use VOIP Vonage for my property telephone and it operates superb on out going alerts from the AAS 100 security method, but on incoming calls the Vonage answering service will answer and I can't dial into the AAS 100. SO....I bought the VOIP Grandstream Handystream 286 adapter from Amazon went to CallCentric and signed up for their VOIP telephone . Its best for a alarm method since it will dial out and I can now call in to my alarm. Expense? $1.95 per month. Great! If anybody finds a greater VOIP supply let me know!
Second update:
Located out my dog can set off the motion detectors. No dilemma, raised the pointing angle and now my pug does not set off the alarm. My wife and I set it each and every time we go out. Even with the dog at residence. Love this method.
Third update Feb 2011:
System nevertheless operating fantastic. Had to replace the 9V batteries for two of the motion detectors, so I would say they last about 6 months. I replaced the batteries on all the units anyway. Very easy to do, and I did not have to reprogram any of them. Amazon has some amazing deals on 9V Alkaline batteries. I also dropped my VOIP CallCentric and I just use the Vonage VOIP. No require for two systems, I by no means had to dial into the security system, no false alarms!
Had this alarm program for the last two months. Also, bought the GSM Cellular Module, given that I don't have a land-line.
