this works terrific. we replaced all of our old units given that they kept going off mainly because they would get a spider in them (NOT Entertaining). We have not had any problems with these at all.
Easy to install and I like the light function. While in a genuine fire I am not sure how beneficial this will be if the smoke is dense sufficient. It's good and does not price considerably way more vs with no the light. Battery backup is a need to and this comes with 2. One for the light and 1 for the detector. Great cost and deal with Amazon.
